Description:
Polygala myrtifolia is an evergreen shrub belonging to the Polygalaceae family, obtained by crossing two species native to southern Africa. Plant with a rounded habit and copious and lanceolate leaves, it is characterized by an abundant and long flowering that starts in the spring and continues until autumn. The superb purple inflorescences are gathered in racemes at the tips of the branches. Ideal for coastal gardens and dry areas.
Ground:
It adapts to any type of substrate, but prefers organic and soft, very well drained soils.
Light:
It prefers sunny or partial shade exposures. It withstands intense heat and saltiness and must be protected from excessive cold.
Water:
Requires regular watering from spring to autumn. Limited in winter.
Temperature:
Avoid exposing it in winter to periods of too intense and very prolonged cold
